AHEAD School - Where Learning Comes First

 Alameda Heights Elite Academy of Dallas (AHEAD) is a subsidiary organization under the Alameda Heights Outreach Foundation (AHOF) that is registered as a 501(c)(3) organization located in Dallas, Texas.   AHOF was founded in 1988 with a mission is to provide a means of empowerment to the needs of low-income individuals and families and involve them in self-help programs that will lead them to personal growth and self-sufficiency.   

AHEAD was established in 2012 as a part of YouthBuild Dallas for students ages 16-24 who had previously dropped out of high school and had a desire to complete their high school studies. The program offered basic skills education, tutoring, GED preparation, and high school diploma completion. Due to budget cuts in 2016, the program closed. 

After retiring from public school education, its founder, Jean Mays O'Neal, will reopen the program in the Fall of 2025 to serve students ages 5-18 in academics and the arts.
