This semester-long course introduces students to the exciting world of musical theater through a creative, hands-on approach to acting, singing, and movement. Designed for homeschool students with varying levels of experience, Musical Theater Foundations focuses on building the essential skills every young performer needs to shine on stage.
Students will explore character development, vocal technique, basic choreography, and performance confidence through fun exercises, scene work, and group songs. Throughout the semester, they’ll also gain an understanding of musical theater history and stage terminology, while collaborating with peers in a supportive and encouraging environment.
The semester will culminate in a low-stress showcase performance, where students present short musical scenes and ensemble numbers to demonstrate what they’ve learned.
