The Academic Assessment is designed to help guide students into the right learning path for their success, ensuring they are adequately prepared to thrive in our programs. It evaluates skills in core areas such as reading, writing, math, and critical thinking to get an accurate understanding of each student's strengths and areas for improvement.
All students enrolling in our GED Prep or High School Diploma programs are required to complete an Academic Assessment prior to enrollment. This assessment helps us determine the most appropriate program placement for each student and identify any areas where additional support may be needed. Based on the results, we create a personalized Individualized Education Plan (IEP) and, if necessary, recommend placement in our Pre-GED or Pre-High School Diploma program to ensure a strong foundation for academic success.
.
If a student’s score falls below the 8th-grade level, we will recommend enrollment in our Basic Academic Skills Program. This program is designed to help students build foundational academic skills, giving them the support they need to advance to higher-level GED or high school diploma programs.
