Academic Assessment for Program Placement
IN PERSON: Thursdays (Except Holidays)
LOCATION: Alameda Heights Outreach Foundation 2722 Lyola St., Dallas, Texas 75241
Before starting our program, all students will complete a comprehensive academic assessment to determine their current grade level and ensure they are placed in the appropriate course. This assessment evaluates skills in core areas such as reading, writing, math, and critical thinking to get an accurate understanding of each student's strengths and areas for improvement.
If a student’s score falls below the 8th-grade level, we will recommend enrollment in our Pre-GED/Pre-High School Diploma Basic Skills Course. This course is designed to help students build foundational academic skills, giving them the support they need to advance to higher-level GED or high school diploma programs.
The assessment is designed to help guide students into the right learning path for their success, ensuring they are adequately prepared to thrive in our programs.
THE ACADEMIC ASSESSMENT FEE IS WAIVED WHEN ENROLLING THE PREP COURSES OR HSD PROGRAM.
