Course Description:
This semester-long course introduces students to the exciting world of musical theater through a creative, hands-on approach to acting, singing, and movement. Designed for homeschool students with varying levels of experience, Musical Theater Foundations focuses on building the essential skills every young performer needs to shine on stage.
Students will explore character development, vocal technique, basic choreography, and performance confidence through fun exercises, scene work, and group songs. Throughout the semester, they’ll also gain an understanding of musical theater history and stage terminology, while collaborating with peers in a supportive and encouraging environment.
The semester will culminate in a low-stress showcase performance, where students present short musical scenes and ensemble numbers to demonstrate what they’ve learned.

Course Description:
In this exciting continuation of our Musical Theater program, students will deepen their skills in acting, singing, and dancing as they rehearse and refine their roles for the culminating performance of our full-stage musical production. This semester focuses on polishing choreography, enhancing vocal technique, developing character authenticity, and perfecting stage presence.
Through structured rehearsals, scene work, and creative ensemble building, students will grow in confidence and performance readiness. The course culminates in a fully staged public performance, giving students the opportunity to showcase their hard work and talent on stage.

In the fall semester, students will explore the fundamentals of vocal technique, music reading, and ensemble singing. Emphasis is placed on building healthy singing habits, developing pitch matching, ear training, and learning to sing in unison and simple harmony. Repertoire will include age-appropriate music from a variety of genres.
